How Surge Began
In 2022, Next Wave Partners, a venture studio focused on transformative technologies along with key collaborators, recognized a critical gap in the market. While the potential of technologies like AI, IoT, and autonomous systems was clear, the infrastructure to support their widespread deployment was lacking.
They saw an opportunity to create a new model for infrastructure development - one that was open, collaborative, and designed for the needs of the future.
