KANSAS CITY, MO Surge Holdings Inc., a developer of privacy-first, edge AI infrastructure, was recently accepted into the NVIDIA Inception program. NVIDIA, a world-renowned technology company that designs chips and software that power modern-day computing, founded the Inception program to guide AI startups through the NVIDIA platform. Surge now has access to NVIDIA’s GPU, edge compute, and go-to-market ecosystem, signaling that the developer’s architecture aligns with the direction of edge AI, real-time intelligence, and privacy-first infrastructure.

Surge is using its platform to build infrastructure designed specifically for real-world physical intelligence. The company deploys open, infrastructure-first networks that generate continuous, anonymous, real-time data from deployed assets, support multiple use cases simultaneously, and create recurring value that remains rooted in the communities where infrastructure is installed.

“For us, this is less about a logo and more about distribution and scale,” says Miguel Jaramillo, Co-Founder and CEO of Surge. “Membership in the NVIDIA Inception program validates our edgeAI approach to street-level sensing, connects us with technical resources to optimize our models on NVIDIA hardware, and opens co-marketing and partner channels with companies already building on NVIDIA’s platform.”

Edge AI and the Shift Toward Real-World Intelligent Infrastructure

AI is increasingly moving beyond screens and cloud-based systems and into the physical world, where infrastructure such as streets, transportation networks, and utilities generate continuous streams of data. As demand grows for systems that can sense, interpret, and respond to real-world conditions in real time, traditional centralized computing models are often limited by latency, bandwidth constraints, and privacy concerns. Much of today’s infrastructure was built to be static and reactive, rather than intelligent and adaptive.

Surge works with technology providers across the country to deploy an infrastructure-first platform that enables continuous, anonymous, real-time data generation from physical assets while supporting multiple use cases simultaneously. By prioritizing edge-based AI processing and local intelligence, Surge’s approach allows data to be analyzed closer to where it is generated, reducing reliance on centralized cloud systems. Participation in the NVIDIA Inception program places Surge within a broader ecosystem of companies building and scaling next-generation edge AI systems optimized for real-world, edge-based deployment.
